Get Bikini Ready by Summer!
Are you unhappy with the appearance of your natural breasts in a bikini top?
Are you having trouble sculpting your abdomen, thighs or buttocks with exercise?
Are you too embarrassed of your body to wear a bathing suit?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, do not despair. Dr. Donald Hause of Sacramento Aesthetic Surgery can help you enjoy a better bikini body (and more confidence) by summer. He offers a range of cosmetic surgery procedures to improve the appearance of your breasts and body.
However, if you desire surgical cosmetic enhancement, it is critical that you make your arrangements soon. Since it’s not yet March, this might seem early. Here, Dr. Hause explains why your bikini body plan must be set into action now.
Ample Time to Recover
Breast augmentation and body contouring surgery typically require a post-operative recovery period. During this time, you will need to rest and relax as your body heals. Depending on the procedure, you might find your range of motion is limited. For example, if you have breast surgery, you cannot raise your arms above your shoulders for several weeks. Or, if you have tummy tuck surgery, you cannot bend from the waist during your initial recovery.
This recovery period cannot be rushed. Scheduling your procedure in the next month or so should allow you ample time to recover. Give yourself a “grace period” to slowly ease back into your normal routine, and to prepare for summertime festivities.
Hide Your Bandages
After breast augmentation, tummy tuck or liposuction, the treated area will be wrapped in bandages and possibly a special compression garment. These bandages and garments must be kept in place as your body recovers; it could take several weeks before Dr. Hause recommends removing them. Plan your surgery while the weather is a bit cooler, so you can hide bandages and compression garments beneath a light jacket and pants.
Turn Healthy Habits into a Routine
In order to maintain the results of liposuction, tummy tuck and other body sculpting procedures, you need to avoid major fluctuations in weight after healing. Start training your body with good habits now, so they become second nature and easy to maintain throughout the summer. Incorporate more fruits, veggies and lean proteins into your diet, and cut out junk like sugary treats, soda and alcohol. Find a workout routine that you love, whether it be CrossFit, weight lifting, spinning or yoga. (It is best to incorporate several types of exercise.) Living a healthy, active lifestyle is a great way to enjoy the results of your surgery for years to come!
